Marie Yasunaga

Marie Yasunaga is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam. She obtained her Ph.D. in comparative literature and culture. She has an interest in the theory and practice of world art histories and interdisciplinary cultural studies. Yasunaga is also participant of the Freedom of the Streets Project, and researcher of the Edo-Project: Gender and Urban Space in Edo 1600-1850. This project reconstructs women’s use of urban space in the biggest city in the early modern world: Edo (present-day Tokyo). Abstract
